Swoonin'

We finished three lovely swoon blocks this week and can't wait to finish the other 6. The 24" blocks come together quicker than you think.  The swoon blocks are the cutest. Have you ever seen an ugly swoon quilt? Nope, didn't think so.

To make you feel better, we took a "real" photo of our sewing room floor.  This picture was taken before we cleared a path to take the perfect picture in a perfectly clean room that doesn't exist :) We don't mind the mess because it means we are in project-central mode.

This is our favorite swoon block so far...that blue color is too precious! It's surprising what you can pull out of your fabric stash :)

The purple fabric in this block is left-over from another quilt we just finished. We'll show you as soon as we finish writing the pattern :) Which could take us awhile...

Swoon blocks look great in any color. This gray block turned out fab!

You know what we love more than each individual block? It's all of them together :)

And because we want to show you a sneak-peak at our other blocks:

You know where we'll be the next couple of days...these blocks are just waiting for their turn to be made!

  2. I haven't been doing much in the way of traditional quilting, but the swoon block is one my list of patterns to try.

Thanks for the messy floor photo too. Now, I don't feel bad about my project central dining room table :-)

  3. First, love the perfect sewing floor that doesn't exist! :) It doesn't exist at my house either!

And you are right, I've never seen an ugly Swoon quilt. It's still on my list. I think it's going to be my Christmas present to myself. The fabric and the time to make it.
