Basket Case Top

After mulling over what pattern to use for our Wallflowers Fabric, we decided on Basket Case. The pattern is relatively simple, if you like pinning :)

Machine quilting. Hmmm. We'll take suggestions if you've got any.

Twinners

We jumped on the chance to make matching quilts for two fraternal twin baby girls. Twins are the best...but we are partially biased ;)

We stuck to "true" baby colors: pinks and turquoises with gray, lime, and yellow mixed in.

We made them matching to our Big Zig Chevron quilt. These girly quilts are even cuter than the original gender neutral color scheme. Plus, nothing shoves spring into your face like pastel colors.

The quilts are exactly identical on the front, but their bindings and backings are flip-flopped.

So there you go. One custom order done and more to go. We say it everyday: This is so. much. fun.

Here

One day turned into two days, two days into two weeks, two weeks into one month. Geesh. How does one month possibly go by so fast? It doesn't add up. So here comes February and more blogging!

There's a lot to catch up on. Let's see...we finished up all nine of our Swoon blocks and got the scrappy top done. (Here is a link to our other Swoon quilt)

We got us some BIG spools of thread that just might last us a lifetime...or longer ;) All 3000 yards for just $2.00. Since these spools don't fit on our machines, we got thread stands to solve our problems:

Here it is in action:

Run to the nearest store and buy one. Seriously, you won't regret it.

We've been doing custom-order quilts again and are loving every minute. Best job ever.

Did we miss anything? One month is a long time. We have alotta other quilts in the works that we will post about soon...but don't hold us to that ;)

It feels good to be back.
