This past week has flown by so fast, but we did have time to finish this quilt.

In order to save time, we decided on simple machine quilting. Straight lines do not disappoint.

The bright green back adds a little character to the quilt!

Girl fabric is just so darn cute! It's fun to have a splash of pink fabrics. We can tell just from the fabric that this quilt is going to be ADORABLE.

We're going to try some raw edges on this we're crossing our fingers.

 Happy Quilting!

And then there were dots...

...and lots of them!

This quilt has got to be our favorite yet... okay ALL of our quilts are our favorites :)

Dots make everything cuter! You can find this quilt in our etsy shop.

OK. We know our blog was lacking all-things-girly. That's why we made this cute little quilt. What could go wrong with dots??

The pattern (Dottie) can be purchased here. We made the quilt smaller so it would be a baby quilt.

More to come...

Blocks ---> Quilt

It's amazing how fast blocks...

...can turn into a quilt top:

This quick little quilt top has been finished for about a week, but we are just getting around to blogging about it. We made it in between other quilts and it comes together so quickly it's easy to forget about :) The tutorial can be found on our favorite quilt blog: Cluck Cluck Sew! Now all we need to do is decide on the machine quilting...either straight lines or stipples??? hmm

Have a fabulous Friday!!

Love Love Love freshly laundered quilts!

Washing machines are our heroes…they make quilts crinkly, cuddly, and clean.

From a Napkin

This week we helped our mom make these cute pillows:

Just from looking at them you would never guess they were from napkins! The floral napkins were purchased at Home Goods and the solid tan napkins (the back) were found on clearance at Target. The pillows only cost $6 each (including the down pillow forms)!

We decided to make the sewing simple. Since the napkins were already hemmed, we just pinned them wrong sides together and sewed  three sides as close to the edge as we could. Then we stuffed in the pillow forms and sewed the 4th side closed.

The pillows turned out so cute. They look perfect on the leather couches!

Fourth of July

We've had a great holiday today!

We pulled out a fourth-of-julyish quilt:

we've been eating the best jello EVER invented (we make it without the berries...we're picky)

and we watched fireworks light the sky.
