New Quilt Pattern

We're proud to announce our first official quilt pattern! We're living proof that anyone can make a quilt pattern, even if it seems impossible. For once we are speechless. We don't know what to write. We're just glad that this pattern is real, and not just an idea in our heads. This pattern is available for purchase on etsy. This quilt is perfect for a beginner to intermediate sewer. It's safe to say that we will make more patterns in the future, in fact we have one more in the works!

Vintage Modern #2

We had a burst of energy this weekend and got Anna's Vintage Modern quilt stippled and bound in a fun scrappy binding. Love Love Love this On A Whim pattern!! Vintage and Moderny...it matches the fabric :)

Our two Vintage Modern quilts look adorable side-by-side! Quilts can look so different with different patterns. Sarah's Vintage Modern Quilt  has gotten plenty of use, and Anna's quilt is the snuggling type, for sure- perfect for hogging and movie watching :) Two matching quilts for two matching girls. It's so much fun to be twins!!

Black Friday...on Saturday!

Yesterday was a laid-back kind of day. We didn't brave the stores yesterday, so we took a trip to the fabric store today instead. JoAnn's was having a mega sale... fabric for $1.99 a yard!!! We bought over 20 yards of fabric and walked away paying only $55. Yes, today was a good day at the fabric store. We were surprised that JoAnn's wasn't a zoo considering all the sales that were going on. Lucky us :)

Scrappy Binding

We're mainstream kind of girls and tend to stick to one fabric for binding. Today we cut up our scraps for our first ever scrappy binding! The strips ranged from 5"-20", depending on the size of our scraps. It's nice to use up our scraps so they don't sit in our pile of fabrics-never-to-be-used.

Later this week, in between overeating, decorating for Christmas, watching Christmas movies, exercising, quilting, reading Christmas books, and exercising again (we'll need it!!) :), we'll be attaching this binding to a quilt! Happy (early) Thanksgiving!!
